WHAT IS DIGITAL ART?

| I make most of these images with three programs: 3ds, Bryce, and Photoshop. I am using rather old and primitive versions of these programs, but they do what I need. When I need human figures for the images, I compose them in Poser. All images are rendered in Bryce just because I am more comfortable with it; Poser and 3ds both have rendering capability. I use Photoshop to tweak the images sometimes, and to make black and white images that the terrrain editor in Bryce converts into terrains, which can be used as objects as well as landscape, as for instance in Two Old Arches, which are terrains made in this way. This is true also of Abstract 7.2.604, in which there are two objects made this way. 3ds is a wonderful program for manipulation virtual geometries. The object that takes up most of 3D Experiment 102.2.04 was made in 3ds, then colored and rendered in Bryce. The marine structure in Offshore Visitor was made that way also. |
